I have been given the pleasure of going to work with my friend Bob. Bob is a graphic Designer. He wears many hats at work as art director. Everyone has been very generous with their time. One of his coworkers Maria, allowed me to pick her brain a litte about social media. I hope to use some of the things I've learned in my work with the South Brevrard Sharing Center.
The gradution ceremony was very nice. Zack graduated Magnu Cume Laude and will be studying Computer Engineering in the fall at Robert Morris University. We went to Bob and Ann's house after the ceremony for dessert. The almond cake was delicious! It was nice to be able to be a part of Zack's special day. It's not very often that I get to spend time with my Pennsylvania family. I missed Jacob's graduation, but I hope I will be able to attend his college graduation.
I have the summer off! This is a summer of exciting trips. I am blessed to have a mother willing to drive from Florida to Pennsylvania with me and my 6 childen. It was a great trip! My mom did all the driving and the kids were all well behaved. We arrived at my sister Maria's house this afternoon, just in time to rest up and get refreshed before heading off to celebrate my nephew Zachary's High school graduation.
If you haven't watched last nights episode you might want to stop reading and watch it first.
Christopher Loyd made a guest appearance which may not seem like a big deal. But the writers had fun adding in a few "Back to the Future" moments. The story centered around Sabrina (Shannon Marie Woodward) wanting Jimmy (Lucas Neff) to buy a new car. His parents, Virginia (Martha Pimpton) and Burt (Garret Dillahunt) try to convince him that he should not take out a car loan because credit is evil. They take him out looking for cars listed in the local classified ads with a budget of $850.00 Several junkers later they flash to Jimmy picking up Sabrina in his parents old clunker which he paid a little more than $850.00 for so that his parents could purchase their dream car a DeLorean. Virginia and Burt recount some humorous stories of their past and have their BTF moment by trying to get the DeLorean to go faster than 80 with no success.
Sabrina wins Jimmy over by proving that his parents old junker is no safer for Hope than his beat up old van was and she persuades him to purchase a new car with all the bells and whistles. Just as he goes to sign the papers the car salesman informs him of his poor credit score of 95. As usual Jimmy finds out that his parents once again screwed up. When he was five they stole his identity and ruined his credit. To restore Jimmy's credit his parents decide to talk the creditor (Christopher Loyd) into clearing Jimmy's credit. He refuses until another mishap by his parents results in Loyd seeing the DeLorean. To get the debt cleared they end up handing over the DeLorean to Loyd who has his BTF moment as he tries to go back in time to marry Susan Boyle before she wins Idol.
This is one of my favorite shows and I know my writing does it no justice. But if you haven't watched you should check it out. The cast and the writers make this show one of my tops when I am looking for lighthearted humor.
I registered for spring classes today. It only took me about 2 hours. Due to some prerequisite issues I had to see an adviser in order to get registered. I will be taking 3 classes this semester; Advertising, Digital Type and Color and 3D Animation. It should be an exciting Semester. I will keep you posted.
Corel Painter has many features. A new feature we learned about in class is mosaic tile.
Especially my AMAZING sister Maria.... I love you and miss you! May your tour go by quickly and may you and all those serving return home safe!
I had fun with this assignment. Corel Painter has so many great tools that can replicate natural mediums like, pencil, charcoal, pen and ink, oil paint, acrylic, etc.
One of my classes this fall was "Creative Computer Media". It required us to use Corel Painter for our assignments. The first assignment was to draw basic shapes and fill with color. I guess I got a little carried away learning to use the different brushes and media. With some practice I think I could really enjoy working in Painter. No messy paints to clean up but you still get that painter quality and texture. Let me know what you think.
